Actor Comedian Leslie Jordan Passes away in a Tragic Accident

David Shaul, Leslie’s agent, announced the actor’s death at 67, saying that the world was now a “much darker place” without Jordan in it.

The Los Angeles Times had reported that, Leslie Jordan was driving his BMW in Hollywood when he crashed into the side of a building on Monday morning at around 9:30 a.m. 

Death Cause of Leslie Jordan

It is not clear about the exact cause of Leslies death. Leslie was declared dead at the car crash scene, itself. However, inquires and reports related to the car crash were still awaited at the time of this incident reporting.

Leslie Jordan as a Proven Role Model

David Shaul, Leslie’s agent, recalled about Leslie that “Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times. What he lacked in height, he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner, and human being”.

David also remarked that “Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”

The Killer Comic Timing

Leslies diminutive frame packed a tall talent for scene stealing comedy. Leslie Starred in several commercials, TV series, movies, and theatre from the 1980’s. Due to his killer comic timings Leslie earned for himself an iconic status with his audience. 

He played roles in TV as Lonnie Garr on ‘Hearts Afire (1993–1995)’, as Beverly Leslie on ‘Will & Grace (2001–2006, 2017–2020)’. In 2006, he won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for ‘Will & Grace’.

The Millions of Fan Followers

It was in April 2021, Jordan’s autobiography – How Y’all Doing?: Misadventures and Mischief from a Life Well Lived, was published. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his comedy posts on instagram resulted in his fan following skyrocketing from 80,000 followers to a whopping 5.8 million followers. Consequently, therefore Jordan had become an instant Instagram sensation.

The Final Calling and Sign of Good Bye All

Meanwhile, just a few days before his tragic accident, the actor had shared a video of himself singing “When the Roll Is Called Up Yonder” on his Instagram account, under the caption “Sunday Mornin’ Hymn Singin’ with @dannymyrick,”. Additionally, Danny Myrick, his producer played guitar as Jordan sang. It took a poignant meaning on his death, one day later. May his Soul Rest in Peace !!!
