With Newey’s 35-year long career in Formula 1, he has obtained a great deal of respect and is regarded as being one of the most successful and innovative designers. In this context, in 2010, he became a racer of Red Bull Racing where he has contributed significantly and helped them win several titles.
The 2023 F1 season provided Newey’s outstanding design skills a showcase as RB19, the Red Bull Racing car, not only took victory in all but one race, but also garnered both the Constructors’ and Drivers’ Championships for the team. He is also working on RB17 hypercar which will be a limited edition of 50 units, and is going to introduce groundbreaking technology in the world of cars.

The Red Bull Racing’s driver development program has been highly acclaimed for mentoring of the young racing drivers within the team where senior drivers ensured the growth of the next generation of automobiles enthusiasts. The excellence in his dealings, added to the passion he shows to his job, makes him a suitable candidate for the 2024 World Car Person of the Year award.
