The flying car developed by startup Alef Aeronautics, which was backed by SpaceX, is going to disrupt the transportation industry with the Alef Model – A futuristic Car.

The 2,850 preorders for the two-seated vehicle from Alef Aeronautics, are a proof of great market interest. Each of these costs $300,000. This flood of preorders symbolizes a major achievement for it as a company and demonstrates the increasing appetite from those seeking refreshing alternative means of travel.

Advanced Design from Alef Aeronautics

The Alef Model A stands out in its design, unlike classical flying cars that mimic regular cars. It features an innovative design with a box-like shell housing eight Rotors inside. By this design, you can have your car as well as aircraft, both. The wheels are assembled in a way that they are powered by four small Engines. The car is also equipped with eight Propellers for flying.

The airspeed of the vehicle is 110 mph in air. Alef limits the road speed of the car to 25-35 mph. It is thus the preferred choice for efficient transportation over a wider range.

Future Expansion and Innovation by Alef Aeronautics

Along with these two-person aircrafts, the team at Alef Aeronautics are also working on a four-person sedan called Model Z. Alef plans to launch this Model Z by 2035, priced at $35,000. The company plans to produce Model A and launch it by the end of 2025, pending regulatory approvals.

Alef Aeronautics received US, Canadian and European authorities’ permissions to fly with Model A, being the leader of the duo.
