The Hand Sanitizer Gel(Alcohol 80%) and Alcoholada Gel in several batches have been recalled from the market due to Methanol Safety concerns by Aruba Aloe.

The recall, of up to 40 lots of Hand Sanitizer Gel(Alcohol 80%) and Alcoholada Gel, was initiated by the company as it turned out these products had got Methanol in them.
There are some dire effects of ingesting or inhaling Methanol. Some of them are nausea, coma, seizures, blurred vision or going blind. The FDA warned that the affected products should be instantly discontinued as soon as possible and properly thrown away.

The popular items from Aruba Aloe range are 1) Hand Sanitizer Gel(Alcohol 80%) and 2) Alcoholada Gel. These are being utilized for sanitizing hands and to provide a good care of minor burns, sunburn, itching, and skin irritation from insect bites or any other causes.
The batches manufactured during May 2021 and October 31, 2023, were retailed in the United States being sold by Aruba Aloe Balm N.V. through its website.
