The Presidential elections for the next President of the USA is scheduled on November 5, 2024. President Joe Biden is running for re-election alongwith Vice President Kamala Harris. There are a few concerns from the media – primarily about Bidens age. Biden is already 80 yrs old. Also, regarding Vice President Kamala Harris, whom Biden considers his governing partner, the media expresses certain reservations on her re-elect.
Biden however was declared medically fit by the White House doctor before the campaign announcement. Harris on the other hand is being judged on completely different grounds. Critics doubt her ability to make a huge difference to the running of the country, in her historic position as the first woman to hold the position of second-in-command of the world’s most powerful country.
Black Americans the Strength of Joe Biden
Regardless of his opponent, Biden will again need Black women, starting with the one by his side. He will need them to win through, in what is likely to be a tight race. Moreover, Black women, who consistently and steadfastly support Democrats, were crucial in helping Biden and Harris. Black women are crucial for both Biden and Harris, to win elections, especially in areas that were in the running.
Political strategists and observers have strongly vetoed any strategy to replace Harris.

Joe Biden and Democrats Recognize Harris Advantage
Campaign spokeswoman for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign Karen Finney, calling the speculation “absurd.” she said, “He’s made it clear he’s running with her….”.
Cornell Belcher, Democratic pollster said “It would be political suicide for Democrats to remove the first African-American woman, a woman of color, from the presidential ticket,”. Adding further, “They would basically hand the Republicans the White House. The base of the party would be demoralized.”
Harris As Preferential Governing Partner To Biden
Because of her position, Finney explained, “we don’t always see the work she does.” But we have confidence in her because we can see her, believe in her, and understand what she is doing.
Despite the vice presidency not normally receiving much attention, Belcher, who has worked in Democratic politics for a generation, claimed that Harris’ term is receiving greater attention due to “overt gender bias overlaid with a smidgeon of racial bias.”.
