Lionel Messi opted to attend a Coldplay performance in Barcelona on Sunday rather than a Ligue 1 awards presentation in Paris. This has added to the growing uncertainty over his future.
The Argentine superstar attended the event alongside his spouse Antonela Roccuzzo and Cesc Fabregas, a former teammate from Barcelona.

Messi has had a tumultuous second spell at PSG and frequently coming under fire from the club’s picky supporters. As his deal with PSG enters its last weeks with no renewal in sight, the seven-time Ballon d’Or winner is being firmly associated with a move back to Barcelona. He was put on leave at PSG in April as a result of travelling to Saudi Arabia without permission.
