Second Half Highlights United Vs Arsenal Premier League 2022

The second half of the United Vs Arsenal game saw team Arsenal starting well by dominating the game from the off and thereby creating a few of those goal-scoring chances. Arsenal’s patience had finally brought fruits as Saka leveled the score at the hour mark. Saka scored on the hour, when Gabriel Jesus received from the outstanding Odegaard, in the box, drawing Arsenal level. United initially did well to prevent Gabriel Jesus from getting a shot into the goal, but the ball fell into the path of Saka and Saka made no mistake to slot the ball into a vacant net. 

But this equalizer in the score lasted for just six minutes before United’s Rashford scored the next goal for United. United’s Eriksen fed the ball into teammate Fernandes, who then played a line-breaking pass beyond the defense of Arsenal, to find the advancing Rashford. Rashford kept his cool to slot through Arsenal’s Ramsdale. 

In another ten minutes, United’s no. 10 struck his second goal of the game. Again, it was the combination of Rashford, Fernandes, and Eriksen that gave United the breather as they advanced into the final 10 minutes of the game. 

Never in the history of Premier League has United ever lost a game once leading at half-time. This record was intact as the game between United and Arsenal finished 3-1 in United’s favor. 

Debutant Antony’s thrilling first goal and Marcus Rashford’s two goals made it four wins in a row for Manchester United. Arsenal had to their credit a series of consecutive wins from the start of this Season. Arsenal’s first loss in the PL season on Sunday 4 Sep 2022 ended Arsenal’s winning streak and their perfect start of the Season.

Manchester United had started on a dismal note in the League with dreadful defeats by Brighton and Brentford. However, now With the Dutch coach Erik Ten Hag’s approach bringing results, the United team has found their belief again.

“The spirit from this team, they can deal with setbacks so we did, it is really great and shows your mentality – we have really improved on that,” United manager Erik Ten Hag quipped.

Erik further said, “We are happy and satisfied with the win, also the performance against a really good team – they played really well,”.

Arsenal’s Team manager Mikel Arteta’s disappointedly remarked, “Very disappointed to lose the game after what happened after 95 minutes. I think we had a period in the first 30 minutes, we struggled to have control. We lost the ball in really difficult places.”
