Stephen Curry qualifies GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS for the Second Round of the Playoffs.
In the playoffs game 7, Stephen Curry scored his career’s best points against Sacramento Kings. This made his team win in style and their advancement to the NBA Playoff second round was confirmed.
Curry’s 50 points included 20 off 38 FG, 7-18 ( beyond the arc) 3Pt, 3-5 FT, six assists, one steal and eight rebounds. They won 120-100 over the Kings on Sunday.
This qualifies Golden State for the Second Round of the Playoffs. This is also their 19th straight playoff against opponents from the Western Conference. With home-court advantage in the best-of-seven series, the Warriors will now compete against the seventh-seeded Los Angeles Lakers.
Even though Golden State was on the road and behind by two points at the break, they regained their championship form in the second period. Curry scored 14 points and Klay Thompson added 9, as the Warriors outscored the Kings 35–23 in the third quarter. Sacramento was outrebounded 22-9 in the quarter by Golden State, who also controlled the boards.
The Splash Brothers is what Curry and Klay Thompson are often referred to for their shooting abilities. Curry was also named Finals 2022 Most Valuable Player (MVP). It was his sterling performance which got the Warriors their 2022 championship while playing against Boston Celtics. Curry has inspired and advocated players to take more three-point shots.
