THE OFFER
As Thanksgiving draws near, Target is stepping up to offer a budget-friendly solution with its new “Target Thanksgiving Meals” package, priced at just $20 for a feast that serves four people. This marks the most affordable Thanksgiving deal the retailer has ever provided, catering to families eager to celebrate the holiday without breaking the bank.
Target Thanksgiving Meals : An Affordable Feast
Target’s Thanksgiving meal deal includes all the essentials for a traditional holiday feast.
Shoppers can look forward to items such as a Good & Gather turkey (up to 10 pounds), stuffing mix, canned green beans, cranberry sauce, gravy, and Russet potatoes—all priced to provide significant savings.
Notably, this year’s bundle costs $5 less than last year’s offering, directly addressing the growing demand for affordable options amidst rising food prices.
How Target Stands Out in the Holiday Price Wars
As food prices begin to stabilize, major retailers like Walmart and Aldi are also rolling out low-cost Thanksgiving bundles.
Walmart recently introduced its “inflation-free Thanksgiving” meal for under $7 per person, while Aldi is keeping its 10-person meal price below $47.
However, Target has distinguished itself with its unique $20 price point for four servings, targeting customers who prefer a smaller yet complete meal.
Rick Gomez, Target’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized that affordability is central to their holiday offerings.
“When it comes to our goal of celebrating food and beverage, big events like Thanksgiving are where Target shines,” Gomez remarked, highlighting that this Thanksgiving bundle reflects the company’s commitment to providing both quality and value.
What Sets Target Thanksgiving Meals Bundle Apart?
The Target Thanksgiving meal features a combination of private-label products from Good & Gather alongside well-known brand items. For instance, Target has reduced turkey prices to 79 cents per pound—a 20% decrease from last year.
In addition to the traditional fare, shoppers can opt for extra sides like macaroni and cheese and holiday pies for under $5, allowing families to enjoy variety without overspending.
For members of Target Circle 360, there’s an added bonus: free frozen pizza. Between November 13 and 16, members can choose a frozen pizza as a complimentary item when placing a same-day delivery order, adding flexibility to their meal preparations.
A Smart Move Amid Evolving Consumer Preferences
With this Thanksgiving offering, Target aims to alleviate some of the financial stress caused by inflation.
Consumer spending data indicates that households earning under $60,000 have tightened their budgets significantly since the pandemic began affecting many essential goods.
This meal deal reflects a broader retail trend prioritizing affordability and underscores the appeal of private-label products that deliver comparable quality to name brands at a fraction of the cost.
As families gear up for Thanksgiving celebrations, “Target Thanksgiving Meals” arrives at just the right time—allowing loved ones to gather around the table and enjoy their favorite dishes while keeping costs manageable.
