Plain Tea is prepared with fresh leaves or cured leaves of Camellia sinensis or rarely used leaves of Camellia taliensis. These are the green Shrubs native to East Asia. These shrubs likely originated from the lands close to the borders of southwest China and from Myanmar in northwest. Hot and Boiling water when poured over this shrub makes a good cup of an aromatic beverage called Tea or Plain Tea.

Herbal Tea

Herbal Tea, in contrast to Plain Tea, is never prepared with the leaves of Camellia sinensis.

All herbal Tea refers to drinks prepared from infusions ( soaking ) of fruit, leaves, or other parts of a plant. The parts of a plant could be such as steeps of rosehipchamomile, or rooibos. A Herbal Tea in short is a hot drink made with or flavoured with herbs.
